I recently had the opportunity to visit CC’s Coffee House, a local coffee chain that has been around for quite some time. I must admit that I love their coffee, especially the mochasippi made with Community coffee – it’s the best! The fact that it is a local establishment competing with big chains like Starbucks is commendable and something I truly appreciate.
However, there were a few issues that I encountered during my visit. Firstly, I strongly disagree with the tip culture instilled in the employees. The pressure to tip and the evident change in behavior based on tipping is concerning and creates an uncomfortable atmosphere for customers. This aspect of the customer experience needs urgent attention and change.
Another point of concern was the lack of visibility of the menu. As a non-daily customer, I would appreciate being able to see the menu before placing my order. Additionally, the treatment of employees, including making them work outside in adverse weather, is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the business.
I believe that having someone from corporate regularly visit and oversee the management of the store could greatly improve the situation. Additionally, revising the payment system and order-taking process to eliminate the pressure to tip would be a positive step forward.
On the other hand, I have to compliment the polite and helpful service I received from the young lady at the drive-through window. It’s refreshing to encounter well-mannered staff. The Peppermint Bark Mochasippi I ordered was also delicious, showing that the quality of the drinks is top-notch.
As for the issue with the incorrect and inconsistent mochasippi, it is disappointing to see such a drop in quality, especially after enjoying their products for so long. This kind of inconsistency and poor experience can drive loyal customers away, as it did in this case. The negative experience described highlights the need for improvement in maintaining drink consistency and flavor.
Overall, CC’s Coffee House has its strengths, including excellent coffee and pleasant staff. However, there are significant areas that need immediate attention and improvement, particularly regarding the tipping culture, menu visibility, and drink consistency.
