I visited EVP Coffee East and was immediately impressed by the cozy and airy space, making it feel like having tea at grandma’s living room. The staff was outlandishly friendly and the location from Tenney Park was very convenient. The range of roasts available, from Dark to Light including Campfire, Sumatran, African, and Mexican blend decaf, was impressive. I am looking forward to returning for some pastries.

The 20 oz coffee really stood out as exceptional, particularly the Campfire roast which had a nutty flavor more than floral and was not burnt like other large chains. The quality and craftsmanship of the coffee at EVP Coffee East really caught my attention. I found the coffee so remarkable that I have it shipped 1,000 miles rather than settle for the over-roasted, bland and characterless coffees I have found during my travels.

The barista’s expertise in explaining the different coffee beans and their unique tastes added to the overall experience. The fact that they roast their beans in-house further demonstrated their commitment to delivering high-quality coffee. However, the store’s slightly grungy appearance may not be to everyone’s taste.

EVP Coffee East is known for roasting their own beans and using quality ingredients to create well-made drinks. The espresso was particularly exceptional, comparable to what I’ve had in Europe.
