Lander Coffee is a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of Seattle’s busy coffee scene. I’ve visited countless times while living in Tacoma, and I’ve consistently had positive experiences. The friendly staff and solid coffee make it a go-to spot for me. Their micro-roasted, affordable in-house retail options, ranging from $16-$21 for 12oz, are a great find for quality coffee. The Los Dos Socios Guatemala espresso was well balanced, and the sausage egg breakfast sandwich was delicious.
The seating options were mostly full, especially with people back to school, and I wish there were more comfy couches. Nonetheless, the overall experience is highly recommended for those craving good coffee, good food, or a place to get work done. The beautiful atmosphere adds to the charm of the place, making it a very cute spot to spend time in.
The open space, well-arranged tables, and a couch make it an inviting place to sit and enjoy a good cup of coffee. The clean restrooms, plenty of street parking, and great opening hours add to the convenience of visiting the coffee shop.
On the other hand, I found the coffee to be terrible, and I was unimpressed with their drinks four times. The lack of gluten-free options was disappointing, considering their inventory. Nonetheless, the beautifully decorated atmosphere and pleasant working environment slightly elevate the rating.
My favorite thing about Lander Coffee is the pared-back yet cozy atmosphere. It’s no-frills, but super pleasant and reliable. The neighborhood surrounding Lander is perfect for a walk with your coffee too.
