Please & Thank You “MARK” Reviews and Opinions
I visited Please & Thank You “MARK” in Louisville, KY based on a Google recommendation for a great latte. I usually go for a vanilla latte with oat milk but ended up trying the butterscotch latte, which was a delightful change. The smoky sweetness of the butterscotch mixed with the espresso gave me the boost I needed to start my day. Additionally, the establishment is known for its #1 cookie shop in America and rightfully so. The chocolate cookie was rich, soft, and full of chunks of chocolate.
I also tried the brownies which were equally delicious, and the chocolate chip cookies were a hit, although a bit too salty in some parts. The ganache latte was a perfect pairing with the sweet treats. The seating options were great for socializing and the atmosphere was so inviting that I visited twice, which is not something I usually do while traveling.
However, not all experiences were positive. Although the service and friendliness were excellent, there were disappointments regarding the chai latte and butterscotch coffee – both were weak in taste and warm in temperature. This was unexpected, especially with colder outside temperatures. Additionally, the purchased chocolate chip cookies were found to be salty and improperly baked, leading to a disappointing and costly experience.
On a positive note, the coffee was enjoyable, and the pastries were delicious, although a bit too sweet. The only downside was the extremely cold temperature inside the establishment, which led us to take our food back to the hotel. It almost felt intentional, as if to push people to order and leave, which was off-putting. Despite this, the staff were still friendly, and the food was good.
My experience at Please & Thank You “MARK” had its mix of positives and negatives. The unique butterscotch latte and delicious chocolate treats were definite highlights, but inconsistencies in temperature and flavor, and the uncomfortably cold environment did detract from the overall experience. Overall, I would rate it as a good option, but with room for improvement.
