I visited Sawdust Road Coffee, and I must say, it’s a cool spot that could be real easy to miss. It sits across the street from my Vet, so I decided to check them out. The exterior looks like an old country house that could use a little TLC, but it kind of adds to the charm of it. Despite the initial impression, the interior is very quirky in a nice way. The atmosphere is relaxing and cozy, placed in a historical house, making it a delightful place to spend time.

The iced mocha with an extra shot that I had was great, and the coffee was the best of my trip. The quality of the coffee drinks and croissants is top-notch, despite not being cheap. The service is on point, adding to the overall positive experience. The menu changes seasonally, offering a good variety of items to choose from, and the staff are friendly and efficient.

The seating inside and out is plentiful, allowing patrons to make themselves comfortable while enjoying their caffeine fix. The only thing I’d like is wider tables for the armchairs to put books and drinks on, as tables near armchairs are somewhat absent. Despite this small issue, the coffee shop is fantastic and worth visiting for anyone in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area.

Overall, I left as a delighted customer and will definitely go back once I have another pup appointment. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a locally owned coffee spot with a cozy and welcoming feel.
