I visited Simon’s Coffee Shop in Cambridge and overall, I found the place to have a cozy atmosphere with great food and perfectly balanced drinks. The mocha was undoubtedly the best in Cambridge. The staff was super kind and made me feel welcome during my visits.
However, on my last visit, I was disappointed by the behavior of the business manager. Despite the cozy environment, it was challenging to get in due to the place being constantly packed. Moreover, the manager’s conduct before closing time was quite off-putting and made me feel uncomfortable and upset. This experience significantly affected my desire to revisit the coffee shop.
On the bright side, as someone who worked nearby, Simon’s Coffee Shop was a significant space where I felt support and kindness. Even after leaving Cambridge, I still miss the place and want to express my gratitude for the tasty coffee and the special atmosphere filled with smiling faces.
Regarding the coffee quality, the latte was smooth and flavorful but somewhat overpriced compared to other popular chains like Starbucks and Blue Bottle. Additionally, the fee-based WiFi was a major drawback, especially considering that several patrons use coffee shops as their shared office space.
Despite these drawbacks, the shop has nice staff and a quiet, relaxing vibe which is appreciable. The food options, such as the avocado toast, yogurt and granola cup, and bagel with cream cheese, were generally good but had some room for improvement, especially considering the price point.
