I visited CommonWealth Coffeehouse & Bakery and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the atmosphere is undeniably charming and cozy, with a hipster vibe that I enjoyed. The interior design, including the teal tiles on the ceiling and the cool patterned tiles on the walls, really caught my eye and made me want to redecorate my house in a similar style.

The matcha latte was exceptional, one of the best I’ve had, and the lunch options were also enjoyable. However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The sandwiches had overly toasted bread that was uncomfortable to eat, and the tomato soup wasn’t as warm as I would have liked.

The biggest downside for me was the unpleasant smell upon entering the shop, reminiscent of mothballs or urine. This was a major turn-off and I believe it could easily be improved with candles or plug-ins to create a more pleasant aromatic experience.

Despite these issues, I found the staff to be friendly and efficient, and the coffeehouse itself was maintained well despite a steady stream of customers. The almond croissant I tried was delightful, and the variety of coffee options, especially the unique honey lavender iced latte, impressed me. The ample seating, both inside and in the front and back patio areas, made it a great spot to work or catch up with friends.

While CommonWealth Coffeehouse & Bakery has its flaws, it lives up to its hype with its beautiful setting, delightful food, and wide range of coffee options. It provides a comfortable and inviting environment, making it an ideal place to relax, work, or enjoy a chill hangout with friends.
