I visited The Copper Moon, a little coffee shop tucked next to the entrance of the Statler with lots of copper decor. Inside, there is a small counter with 3 barstools and a counter to order from. It’s not your come chill with friends coffee shop. I’m a black americano drinker, so judging just on the coffee, it’s not quite as good as some other downtown shops, but not bad. Looks like they have lots of flavored options that people were ordering and liked. The baristas were very friendly.

I heard rave reviews about Mr. Orlando, and my experience validated those claims. The coffee is the most affordable and delicious within downtown limits. Additionally, he creates a therapeutic environment with his loyal customers. It’s a convenient and best place for flavored coffees and croissants. Definitely worth a visit for anyone new around the city. Giving a thumbs up and a 10/10.

At The Copper Moon, I experienced handcrafted perfection! Honestly some of the best coffee in the world. James and his team carefully prepare every single cup using freshly grated cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger among other ingredients. The expertly brewed coffee is matched with perfectly steamed milk—a combination that brings me back every day I’m in town.

The atmosphere doesn’t matter much to me unless I’m looking to hang out. This is like a closet, but that’s okay. I have standards when it comes to coffee. However, the last time I went, my experience didn’t meet expectations. I ordered a regular latte and was disappointed. The barista may not have been trained well as I didn’t see him tamp down the ground beans before running the espresso. The milk was just dumped into the espresso—no slow pour or attempt at keeping the milk and foam separate. Unfortunately, I won’t be back, especially with so many other nearby options to choose from.

On a positive note, The Copper Moon offers high-quality, artisan-created coffee—a hidden gem! The pumpkin spiced latte and white mocha latte were perfectly balanced and had unique touches like fresh grated cinnamon and vanilla bean. Both baristas were super friendly, and I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.
