I visited ZOES Coffee, a cozy and relaxed cafe with a 4.5 out of 5 average rating. The welcoming atmosphere and delicious drinks made my days off enjoyable. I had a fantastic apple cider chai and blue Christmas latte, among many other flavors. It’s hard to pick a favorite! Judy, the owner, genuinely cares about the customers and the quality of each order. She always asked how I liked my drink, and her cute little pup Chai added to the charm of the place. I’m grateful for such a wonderful business in our community.
However, a former employee shared concerns about cleanliness and food practices. They mentioned issues with reusing frothed milk, cleanliness problems, moldy food, and unhygienic storage practices. The employee also highlighted the owner’s lack of knowledge about coffee machines and improper handling of coffee. They also raised concerns about maintenance issues with the equipment and food handling practices that need attention from the health department.
Despite these concerns, another customer and I found the servers to be super friendly and enthusiastic about making drinks just the way we like them, and the food was pretty good too. The place has a warm, welcoming vibe, and I especially appreciated meeting Zoe’s grandmother. The lemon gluten-free muffin was delightful.
