I visited Café de Colombia Restaurant and Bakery and had a mixed experience. The grilled chicken breast and coffee were awesome. The potatoes and yucca also tasted exquisite. The food was delicious, fresh, and hot. The Empanadas, however, were quite disappointing as they had basically no beef, mostly potatoes, which was very upsetting. I expected more filling in them.
The service was a mixed bag. The young server was very sweet and made me feel welcomed. On the other hand, the older Hispanic lady, who seemed to be the owner, was always rude and passive-aggressive, which was a significant letdown. The poor approach to serving paying customers really threw off the entire dining experience. Her attitude made it clear that she would never make a paying customer feel welcomed. This behavior significantly impacted my overall impression of the place.
