I visited Moose Mountain Coffee Bar and had a mixed experience. The concept of the place was appealing, with a homely atmosphere and an array of choices to enjoy. I appreciated the opportunity to relax with a coffee and read amidst a cozy environment.
I indulged in a nice coffee paired with an apple pie, which was a delicious treat. The Rolo Latte and blueberry muffin were also delightful, enjoyed in a warm and welcoming setting.
The standout moment for me was witnessing exceptional kindness from the staff. A homeless man sought assistance, and one of the employees went above and beyond to help him, even arranging shoes and offering a Bible or book of prayers. It was heartening to see such genuine compassion.
While the coffee was good, I noticed some disappointment among patrons regarding the pastries. Some felt that the pastries were overcooked, resulting in an unsatisfactory texture.
Despite the positive experiences, the coconut pie didn’t meet expectations, leaving me to discard it. However, the caramel macchiato was satisfying.
