Cargo Coffee Reviews and Opinions

I visited Cargo Coffee on East Washington Ave, and I was excited to try it out. I usually go once a week. The ambiance when I walked in was wonderful! The gentleman taking the order was very patient with a customer who had multiple questions about different drinks. The gentleman at the counter was very sweet and took our order, even though the kitchen was supposed to be closed. However, other staff members made rude comments that were overheard, making me question why the kitchen closed early. This made me worried about the food’s quality, but the gentleman who took our order was very kind.

The coffee shop has a great selection of syrups and a variety of teas. I had the chai latte and found it to be exceptional. Additionally, the coffee here is fresh roasted and of high quality. They offer whole bean coffee and are willing to grind it fresh for you. My husband takes this coffee to his office, and everyone there loves it. The pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast burrito were all exceptional and fresh. The lemon poppy seed scone was the best I’ve ever had.

The level of service provided by the staff did not go unnoticed. Despite the mixed experiences, the gentleman who took our order deserves special recognition for his kindness and willingness to accommodate us, even as the kitchen was supposed to be closing. I believe he deserves a raise or promotion for his outstanding service.

Overall, Cargo Coffee is a great coffee shop with friendly staff, high-quality coffee, and exceptional food options. My experience may have been slightly dampened by the behavior of some staff members, but the exceptional service and products offered at this coffee shop make it a place I would still recommend to others. I will definitely be returning for more of their fantastic coffee and food options.
