I absolutely love Coffee Hub Dayton Metro Library! The house made lavender syrup is my personal favorite, whether it’s in a lavender lemonade, latte, or to sweeten a matcha. The service is always good and they offer both lunch and breakfast options. I appreciate the flexibility of being able to take food and beverages anywhere in the library or even to Cooper Park on the north side for outdoor enjoyment. 10/10 would recommend!
My first experience for a frappe was disappointing. The two staff members were unprofessional, neglecting their duties while being childish and distracted. They made my drink wrong, and the coffee was mediocre at best. I left feeling irritated and dissatisfied. If it were my shop, I would’ve taken action against their behavior immediately.
However, I have encountered other staff members who are patient, knowledgeable, and provide quality service. The rotating specialty coffee menu and punch card are added bonuses. The café vibes with music and consistent high-quality coffee make it one of my favorite spots in Dayton.
The atmosphere and energy of the place are impeccable. It’s in my top 10 favorite Dayton restaurants due to the great food, affordable prices, and the fact that it’s located in a library which adds a unique charm.
On the contrary, I had an unpleasant encounter with the manager, who came across as rude to her employees and provided a negative vibe. The off-putting smell further added to my discomfort. Therefore, I can’t recommend visiting this coffee shop when there are better options in the area.
