I visited Refuge Coffee Co. Midtown, and I must say it’s my new favorite spot to get work done. The location near a museum adds an extra layer of joy, allowing me to blend productivity with the pleasure of exploring an excellent exhibition. The customer service was exceptional and friendly, which added to the overall positive experience.

What impressed me the most is the coffee shop’s meaningful mission of supporting refugees. They offer living-wage, full-time jobs, job training, and mentorship for our refugee neighbors. This adds to the sense of satisfaction as a customer, knowing that by enjoying their offerings, I am contributing to a noble cause. It truly creates a special atmosphere where people can gather, have conversations, and savor their coffee.

The flavored coffee was delightful, and the service was both friendly and fast. The commitment to helping refugees from other countries through their mission is truly commendable. However, I was disappointed with the house chai, as it was quite watery, lacking the expected richness and flavor. The quality of beverages could be more consistent to match the overall positive experience.

On the flip side, the chagaccino and chai latte received high praise from us. My husband absolutely loved the chagaccino, and the chai latte I ordered didn’t need any sweetener at all, indicating a well-balanced and satisfying drink.
