I visited Lucky Detroit – Coffee Roasters & Espresso and was immediately impressed by the atmosphere and the taste of the coffee. The brown sugar latte was recommended to me, and I have to say, it was excellent. The place has a very cool vibe inside, and upstairs is perfect for a relaxed experience with a Corktown smooth atmosphere. The staff was nice and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. I particularly enjoyed the raspberry turnover, which was yummy.

On a Sunday afternoon, the coffee shop has a wonderful vibe. It’s a chill and relaxing place to catch up with friends while being amazed by the quality of every drink on the menu. As someone who appreciates hidden away coffee shops, I believe this one truly deserves all the stars it can get. The unique Detroit vibes make it even more lovable.

I also had the opportunity to visit during a weekday, and I found it to be a quiet and chill spot to work. The great wifi was a huge plus, and their playlist added to the fantastic vibe of the place, warning anyone who visits that the atmosphere is real.

The upstairs seating area is a great spot to sit and work or study. The cappuccino I ordered was delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by its chocolate-like flavor even though no sweetener was added. The pastries, especially the chocolate croissant and cherry Danish, were delightful. The buttery perfection of the Danish made it a standout choice.

One of the unique aspects of Lucky Detroit is that it also houses a barber/hair salon, making it a multifunctional space. On my second visit, I tried their dirty chai latte, which was delicious, and the spinach feta croissant, which I still can’t stop thinking about due to its incredible flavor.
